to save on effort of me retyping have just pasted this question i posted on groups forum. my post one i am trying to get my gaui 500x up in the air but i seem to have numerous issues, i cant find any setting for the walkera 2801 as regards which channels need to be reversed, its not like a normal heli or plane where you can see the result of your stick input. at the moment i have no channels reversed, and there is no way it will fly at present, i am assuming one or more of the channels need to be reversed, any ideas. also i have the crazy start up, like a few people on here have had, where it seems to go from zero to warp factor 10 with the slightest application of throttle, this is no way right. i tried to set the esc start up mode to soft or supersoft, (i can only assume it is on normal at the moment) but again no success it will not enter the programming mode to do this, as per the 500x instructions. is it locked? i have done the matching the esc s to the tx which has balanced the startup out, but it is still brutal and unsafe when spooling up. i have the green wire off and the gain turned down when i try do the esc startup mode change, any ideas. i am letting the gyro do all the work when i try to fly, green wire off and gyro turned up a bit. with this crazy speed at min throttle its impossible to figure out which, if any , channels need to be reversed, vicious circle at the moment really. i think i am battling with the fast startup and the wrong channel reverse or ...
